For over 20 years I have taught kids and adults Hatha Yoga, both indoors and outdoors. I've led partner yoga workshops for several years as part of the Healthy Parks, Healthy People program through the Point Bonita YMCA. I also combine my naturalist experience as an environmental educator to offer hiking yoga workshops that integrate natural history, yoga, and mindfulness to create a unique movement experience in nature.
I began my yoga journey in 1995 with Alice Rocky and Ellen Serber, Iyengar teachers who focused on breath and alignment. Over the years, I have studied a variety of different styles including Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, and Kundalini. I am also a certified Social-Emotional Learning Facilitator and Wellness Champion. I teach an alignment-based Vinyasa flow class that draws inspiration from nature and activates your core, breath, and spirit. Through observation and attention to your body alignment and breath, you will be more open, relaxed, and aware of how you can improve your body and emotions through mindfulness and movement.
I offer massage that is personalized to your unique needs, incorporating a variety of massage modalities to bring about relaxation and healing. I blend Eastern and Western techniques to help you find balance and transformation through intuitive touch and mindful movement.
My therapeutic massage training began in 2002 and includes a background in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Craniosacral Therapy, Reflexology, Tui-na, Shiatsu, and Traditional Thai Yoga Massage.
